Active Minds is delighted to announce they have won The Pitch Competition 2010 and claimed the title of Britain’s Best New Business.
Back in May 2010 founder Ben Atkinson-Willes entered the competition without any expectations of getting selected. But after two rounds of interviews with stiff competition Ben managed to impress the panel of judges, including Doug Richards from Dragon’s Den, to become the Southwest Regional winner.
After months of waiting Ben found himself in front of 400 people and a panel of four judges at the grand final in London. Following a four minute pitch and ten minutes of grilling from the judges Ben managed to claim the title and a £50,000 prize fund for Active Minds.
We are extremely grateful to receive this fantastic prize, which is already helping grow the business and expand our product range.
