Nestlé is helping to trigger happy memories for those living with dementia through a free to download reminiscence pack, featuring posters, wrappers and packaging that dates back to the early decades of the 20th century.

The pack was created with guidance from the Alzheimer’s Society and we know from our own experiences just how beneficial reminiscence activities can be. Even something as unassuming as an old poster can trigger vivid and happy memories from yester year.

“This activity helps carers and loved ones to engage with people with dementia in a positive way, and has the potential to improve the quality of life for the 800,000 living with dementia in the UK.” – Nestlé

One size does not fit all and it’s important to choose reminiscence activities that the person living with dementia can relate to. Books, Cards, Music and Films all make great dementia reminiscence activities, you can even run your own reminiscence session.

How you can use the packs

The chocolate wrappers and labels will fit on most bars and tins, channel your inner Neil Buchanan and craft look-a-like bars and tins your loved ones will appreciate hugely.
