On 15th June, Alzheimer’s Society and Woman & Home will be teaming up for Cupcake Day, a day to help raise money to raise awareness and fight dementia.
Dementia is the number one cause of death in England and Wales and currently there is still very little known about the disease.
You can sign up and receive your free Cupcake Fundraising Kit here, which includes the following items:
-A donation box and Gift Aid form
-Posters to help you spread the word
– Cake toppers and decorations
– Fundraising ideas and fun games to play on the day
– A Cupcake Day selfie-frame to help you share your creations on social media, and even some tasty recipes from Woman & Home!
Last year, Cupcake Day helped to raise a huge £330,000. This goes towards researchers, giving them the opportunity to undertake vital, potentially lifesaving work. Let’s try and raise even more this year!
Baking is a great activity for someone living with dementia for many reasons. So, why not take full advantage of this opportunity and spend some quality time making cupcakes with your elderly relatives.
It’s very easy to get involved, sign up here to receive your free Cupcake Fundraising Kit by post. Hold the event at home or at work, and, if you’re busy on the 15th, then you can still hold it on another day. It’s the fundraising that counts.
Get baking and spread the word! Share your cupcakes using #CupcakeDay and see what everyone else is getting up to.
