Active Minds help Unilever Food Solutions connect with customers in care

Unilever is globally renowned for producing some of the world’s best-known brands from Marmite to Colman’s mustard. At the core of the organisation is a firm commitment to a wider social and environmental purpose. Unilever has multiple social initiatives which run globally.

In recognition of its’ customers in full time care, Unilever has developed a ‘Sharing Lives' initiative which supports those individuals to continue to lead fulfilling lives. As part of this, Unilever looked for ways to reward those customers in care with products to provide meaningful engagement. 

Unilever looked to Active Minds to draw on their experience creating evidence-based resources for people living with dementia. Combining Active Minds’ expertise with the wealth of historic images from much loved brands in the Unilever archives, this was set to be a promising partnership. 

Active Minds have since been working closely with Unilever Food Solutons to design, test and deliver a series of bespoke products to provide exciting activities to individuals living in residential care. The products make use of the fantastic reminiscent images available from decades of memorable adverts and have initiated great laughter and conversations in homes across the UK.
